7th Annual Split This Rock Poetry Contest, judged by Tim Seibles. Prizes: 1st place $500, 2nd and 3rd place $250 each. Winning poems published online, plus top three winners get free 2014 festival registration. Submit up to 3 unpublished poems, no more than 6 pages total. Poems should be socially engaged; work may address (but is not limited to) themes of politics, economics, government, war, leadership, identity, community, education, activism, history, or Americana. Reading fee: $20. Submit online. Deadline: November 1.
