Panel discussion with poets Brenda Cárdenas and Valerie Martínez on the relationship between poetry and visual art. The program is part of PINTURA: PALABRA, A Project in Ekphrasis, an initiative that bridges the work of prominent Latino poets and authors with visual artists and fosters an engaging dialogue across disciplines. The talk will include a wide range of examples of ekphrastic poems and visual art, and a moderated discussion and audience Q&A will follow. Sponsored by Letras Latinas (Institute of Latino Studies, University of Notre Dame), and the Library’s Hispanic Division and Poetry and Literature Center. Free admission.
