Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday – Not Just Another Day Off. This annual family-friendly event combines dramatic readings of speeches and poetry. Featuring: Abdul Ali, Fred Joiner, Liz Mamana, Theodore Snead, and Venus Thrash. Donations of new and unused linens, food, sundries, cleaning supplies and more are being collected to benefit Calvary Women’s Services. Co-sponsored by the Folger Shakespeare Library and the American Poetry Museum. Free admission.
