The Hurston/Wright Foundation offers a week of workshops open to writers of African descent from July 18 to July 25 on the Howard University campus. Participants can choose from: “The Truth and Then Some: Memoir/Biography/Creative Nonfiction” led by Wil Haygood; “The Art of Fiction” led by Chinelo Okparanta; “Building the Novel: An Advanced Novel Workshop” led by Breena Clarke; or “Poetic Possibilities” led by Terrance Hayes. $700 fee.
