Call for proposals for presentations and workshops for “Confluence: Translation in the Capital Area.” Bringing together translators, interpreters, and others interested in the field of translation, the conference takes place at Montgomery College (Takoma Park/Silver Spring campus) on Oct. 1. In addition, an “extended conference” on weekdays from the end of September through mid-November will focus on students and educators interested in pursuing translation studies. Proposals for either the one-day conference or student-oriented events are invited. The conference will focus on the techniques and practices, business, and art of literary translation.
