The Hurston/Wright Teen Writing Workshops offer young people ages 14-18 the opportunity to develop and improve their skills in both creative and academic writing. Classes July 27 to 31 from 9:00am to Noon, held on the campus of Howard University. Participants can choose from: Fiction Techniques, English Composition, Poetry, or the College Admission Essay. Workshops led by Tracy Chiles McGhee, Koye Oyedeji, Derrick Weston Brown, and Tabitha Jones. $190 fee. Application deadline: June 3.
