Finals for the Poetry Out Loud Competition: 12 high school students compete for the top award, and a chance to compete in the Nationals. Featuring students representing Archbishop Carroll High School, Ballou Senior High School, Benjamin Banneker Academic High School, Capital City Public Charter School, Eastern High School, EL Haynes High School McKinley Technology High School, Paul Public Charter School, St. Anselm’s Abbey School, The SEED School of Washington, Washington Latin Public Charter School and Woodrow Wilson High School. Hosted by Paige Hernandez. Reception at 5:30 pm; performance at 7:00 pm. Sponsored by the DC Commission on the Arts. Free admission.
