Sixteen writers from the University of Iowa’s International Writing Program will read and participate in panel discussions. At 1:30 pm, the Hispanic Division of the Library introduces Cynthia Edul (Argentina), Enrique Serrano (Colombia), Omar Pérez (Cuba), and Natasha Tiniacos (Venezuela). At 2:30, the African and Middle Eastern division hosts Boaz Gaon (Israel), Mujib Mehrdad (Afghanistan), Mamle Kabu (Ghana), and Ahmed Shafie (Egypt). At 3:30, the Asian Division features Binayak Banerjee (India), Bernice Chauly (Malaysia), Heekyung Eun (South Korea), and Chen Li (Taiwan). And at 4:30, the European Division presents Auguste Corteau (Greece), Gerður Kristný (Iceland), Laurynas Katkus (Lithuania), and Franca Treur (Netherlands). Free admission.
