Tanya Paperny is a writer, editor, and literary translator living in DC. Her work has appeared in The Atlantic, The Washington Post, Washington City Paper, Pacific Standard, The Literary Review, and The Massachusetts Review. She is the recipient of fellowships from Vermont Studio Center, OMI International Arts Center, and the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities. Her collection “Short Shorts” was a semi-finalist for the Gazing Grain 2014 Poetry Chapbook Contest. She received an MFA from Columbia University and is at work on a collection of essays about violence, trauma, and resilience.
